How we work

OEI is supported through public and private grants from local, state and federal sources. OEI partners with colleges, universities, non-profit organizations, and governmental entities to maximize expertise and achieve the highest benefit for Central New York’s environment.

OEI conducts research, develops educational programming, shepherds planning processes, and implements ecological restoration projects.

OEI acknowledges the US Environmental Protection Agency for past and continued support.
