“Re-imagining the Future of Onondaga Lake” is a PowerPoint presentation that provides an introduction to the historical ecology of Onondaga Lake and its watershed, major sources of damage to the lake environment, some of the current remediation and restoration efforts, and the Onondaga Nation’s vision for the future of the lake. There are two versions available, the full-length presentation (duration: about 35 minutes) and a shorter version (duration: about 17 minutes).
OEI is pleased to be working with the Onondaga Nation and Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation (NOON) to deliver the presentation free of charge to local community groups. NOON has worked in partnership with the Onondaga Nation for many years to provide presentations to local groups regarding the Onondaga Nation's culture and history.
To schedule a presentation for your group, please contact Sarah Wraight (Staff Writer) by email, or Meredith Perreault (OEI Project Manager), by email or phone: 472-2150, ext 22.
Further work in the spring of 2011 will develop the PowerPoint presentation into a stand-alone narrated DVD.
